Rising to 6,476 meters (21,247 ft), Mera Peak is Nepal’s highest trekking peak and one of the most rewarding Himalayan adventures. Mera Peak is located inside the Everest Region, following the highest peaks in the world, including Mount Everest. The Heli In & Heli Out package is designed for climbers who want to experience the thrill of a high-altitude summit while reducing the number of days for approach and return treks. This itinerary combines breathtaking helicopter flights, gradual acclimatization, and a professionally guided climbing experience in the remote Hinku Valley. Mera Peak Climbing is suitable for both beginners and experienced climbers who are thrilled for a true Himalayan adventure experience with less difficulty.
The journey begins with a scenic helicopter flight from Kathmandu to Lukla, the next day, Lukla to Kothe, offering spectacular aerial views of snow-capped mountains, deep valleys, and pristine glaciers. Along the route, you’ll pass through beautiful alpine landscapes, traditional Himalayan settlements, explore their cultures, and rugged terrain that gradually leads to Mera Base Camp. Mera Peak is an ideal peak, classed as both a trekking and a climbing peak at 6000m.
Careful acclimatization and climbing preparation are essential parts of the expedition. Acclimatization plays a role in how your body reacts to high altitude and adapts to thin air, helping it avoid altitude sickness. Under the guidance of the experienced climbing staff of Himalaya King Trekking and Expedition, you will learn and practice basic mountaineering techniques, including the use of crampons, ice axes, harnesses, and fixed ropes. The summit push usually begins before dawn, allowing you to reach the top as the first sunlight illuminates around 5/6 AM, with the Himalayan giants surrounding you.
From the summit, an unforgettable panorama unfolds, featuring five of the world’s highest mountains, including Mount Everest, Lhotse, Makalu, Cho Oyu, and Kanchenjunga. After celebrating the achievement, you will descend safely before taking a helicopter flight back, enjoying one final aerial perspective of the Himalayas.
